Should we stop supporting users without JavaScript?

I say YES!

I’m doing it from now on, just like Facebook and many others, I will show them a message:
Sorry, you won’t be able to use this site until you enable JavaScript on your browser.

I think it’s time for AJAX everywhere and web applications should start being modern and interactive…

I think everyone should STOP using javascript. And all browsers should stop supporting it. It’s a piece of s#*@ language that does more harm than good.

We think exactly the other way around, all future web services are going to require JavaScript.

Javascript sucks, it’s nothing but a security risk and something to freeze up my browser. The sooner it’s dead and gone the better, and if your site requires it than no one should ever visit your site again.

You are correct. People without javascript already have limited options and it will just continue that way. Many mainstream sites do not support browsers without javascript

That’s true, just turn off your JavaScript and try logging in to Facebook :)

I think that JavaScript is great! But websites should not be JavaScript dependent at any cost!

I’m not sure when this was posted (I don’t see an associated date with the post), but if this was posted some time in the last 3 years Jon doesn’t know his [derogatory body part] from his [other derogatory body part]’s third nipple (figure that one out). Javascript and, in a broader sense, ecmascript is the future of the web and all computing as we know it. 9 years ago, jon would be right. At present he’s is both wrong and extremely out of touch.
