1 – Right click on Flash’s desktop (or whatever) icon and then click “Properties”
2 – Go to compatibility tab
3 – Check the box “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”
4 – From the drop down select “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)”
5 – Open Flash
And that’s it, it will run smoothly, or at least it did for me.

Now this is something I never knew about Vista – thanks! I have CS3 on Vista 64-bit, SP1. I was tired of my Actions panel being really slow when all I was doing was just trying to select text. This did the trick and now it’s as fast as you would expect.

Duuuude, seriously i love ya. I got Windows 7 and CS3, just did the compatibility thing (i’d always had it set up as Windows Service Pack 1 before I changed it to SP2) and it works incredibly. I almost threw out my laptop because of the CS3 now workin as smooth as i wanted. So once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
